Guangxi PLH Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. ("PLH", "we", "us" or "our") fully understands the importance of your personal information and will make every effort to protect its security. This PLH Privacy Policy (the "Policy") is intended to explain how we collect, use, store, share and protect your personal information during your use of the PLH mobile application (the "App"), as well as the rights you enjoy.
Please read this Policy carefully and fully understand all of its contents before installing and using the App. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please do not install or use the App. By installing and using the App, you are deemed to have fully understood and agreed to this Policy.
We collect and use your personal information in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, necessity and good faith during your use of the App services.
When you register a PLH account, we need to collect the following information:
(1) Mobile phone number or email address: used to create the account, verify your identity and receive service notifications.
(2) Login password: used to protect the security of your account.
(3) Username / nickname / avatar: used for identity display within the App.
If you choose to log in with a third-party account (such as WeChat, Apple, Google, etc.), we will obtain the avatar, nickname and authorization token provided by such third-party platform.
When you undergo real-name authentication as required by laws and regulations or for business needs, we need to collect your real name, ID card number, name of your organization, etc. The above information is used solely for identity verification purposes and will be stored in encrypted form after verification.
When you use the smart device access and management features, we will collect the following information:
(1) Device information: device model, firmware version, device serial number (IMEI/MAC address), communication module identifier, etc., used for device identification and compatibility matching.
(2) Device location information: the installation location description you set for the device (e.g., "Workshop 3, XX Plant"), as well as GPS/BeiDou coordinates reported by the device (where applicable), used to display the device location in the App.
(3) Monitoring data: indicator data such as temperature, humidity and distance values collected by device sensors, which is essential for the core service functions of the App.
(4) Device operation status: operational information such as battery level, signal strength, online/offline status and last report time, used for device health management and fault warning.
(5) Alarm configuration and records: information such as alarm thresholds, trigger conditions, notification preferences and historical alarm records set by you.
When you install and use the App, we automatically collect the following device-related information:
(1) Operating system information: operating system type and version (Android/iOS).
(2) App operation information: App version number and crash logs.
(3) Network information: IP address and carrier name.
To enable specific features, the App may request the following system permissions. You can manage these permissions at any time in your phone's system settings:
(1) Location permission: used to determine regional weather, add devices, and obtain Wi-Fi lists.
(2) Storage permission: used to export monitoring data reports, save screenshots, and cache offline data.
(3) Notification permission: used to push device alarms, system messages and service notifications.
(4) Camera permission: used to scan device QR codes for quick device binding, and to take photos of device faults for after-sales feedback.
(5) Phone status permission: used to obtain unique device identifiers (such as IMEI) to protect account security and prevent fraud.
Refusing to grant a certain permission only affects the functions corresponding to that permission and does not affect the normal use of other functions of the App.
To ensure the secure operation of the App and optimize service quality, we automatically collect your usage logs, including:
(1) Operation logs: login time, feature access records, device configuration changes, etc.
(2) Device communication logs: records of data interaction between smart devices and the cloud, and communication failure logs.
(3) App operation logs: performance data such as App startup, page loading and API call latency.
When you contact our technical support team, we may collect the contact information, problem descriptions, device screenshots or log files that you voluntarily provide, in order to diagnose and resolve issues.
In accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and relevant laws and regulations, we may process your personal information without obtaining your prior consent in the following circumstances:
(1) Where necessary for concluding or performing a contract to which you are a party;
(2) Where necessary for performing statutory duties or legal obligations;
(3) Where necessary for responding to public health emergencies, or for protecting the life, health and property safety of natural persons in emergency situations;
(4) Where processing your personal information within a reasonable scope for news reporting, public opinion supervision and other activities carried out in the public interest;
(5) Where processing, within a reasonable scope and in accordance with the law, personal information that you have made public or that has been otherwise lawfully disclosed;
(6) Other circumstances provided for by laws and administrative regulations.
Your personal information is stored on servers within the territory of the People's Republic of China. Without your explicit authorization or as required by laws and regulations, we will not transfer your personal information outside the territory of the People's Republic of China.
We retain your personal information only for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes of collection, as follows:
(1) Account information: retained until six months after account deregistration.
(2) Device monitoring data: retained in accordance with your data retention policy configuration; the default retention period is thirty-six months. Data beyond the retention period will be automatically deleted or anonymized.
(3) Operation logs: retained for twelve months (unless otherwise provided by laws and regulations).
We adopt the following technical and managerial measures to protect the security of your personal information:
(1) Transmission encryption: TLS/SSL encryption protocols are used during data transmission, and encrypted transmission is used for the communication link between devices and the cloud platform.
(2) Storage encryption: sensitive information (such as passwords) is stored using industry-standard encryption algorithms.
(3) Access control: a strict data access control system is implemented; only authorized personnel can access your data within the necessary scope, and access logs are recorded.
(4) Security audit: regular security assessments and audits of data processing activities.
(5) Emergency response: an emergency response plan for data security incidents is established. In the event of, or suspected occurrence of, personal information leakage, tampering or loss, we will immediately activate the emergency procedures and notify you and the relevant competent authorities in a timely manner as required by law.
Please understand that the Internet is not an absolutely secure environment. We strongly recommend that you take the following measures to protect your personal information:
(1) Use strong passwords and change them regularly, and do not use the same password on multiple platforms.
(2) Do not disclose your account password to others, including persons claiming to be PLH staff.
(3) Be cautious when performing sensitive operations on public networks.
(4) Keep the verification codes bound to your phone or email secure.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We may share part of your information with third parties in the following circumstances:
(1) With your explicit authorization and consent: you proactively request or agree that we share information with specific third parties.
(2) Service providers: to implement App features, we may entrust third-party service providers to process part of the data (such as cloud storage providers, SMS service providers, map service providers, etc.). We sign strict data processing agreements with service providers and require them to process your information in accordance with this Policy and other relevant confidentiality and security measures.
(3) Affiliated companies: to provide a unified service experience, we may share necessary account and device data among PLH's affiliated companies. Affiliated companies are bound by this Policy; if they intend to use the information for other purposes not specified in this Policy, we will seek your consent again.
(4) Device manufacturers/suppliers: when your smart device has a hardware fault requiring after-sales support, with your consent, we may provide relevant device information to the device manufacturer or supplier to assist in diagnosis.
We do not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual, except in the following circumstances:
(1) With your explicit authorization and consent;
(2) In the case of mergers, acquisitions, asset transfers or similar transactions, if the transfer of personal information is involved, we will require the new information holder to continue to be bound by this Policy; otherwise, we will seek your authorization and consent again.
We only publicly disclose your personal information in the following circumstances:
(1) With your explicit authorization and consent;
(2) As required by mandatory provisions of laws and regulations, or mandatory requirements of administrative or judicial authorities;
(3) In circumstances involving national security, public interest or the material legitimate rights and interests of others, and where the conditions prescribed by law are met.
In the following circumstances, your personal information may be processed without prior consent: consistent with the circumstances listed in Section 1.8 of Article 1.
In accordance with relevant laws and regulations, you enjoy the following rights regarding your personal information:
You have the right to access your account information, device list, monitoring data, alarm records, etc. through the App. Where technically feasible, you may apply to obtain a copy of your personal information.
When you discover that the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to modify it yourself through the App or contact us for correction and supplementation.
In the following circumstances, you have the right to request us to delete your personal information:
(1) The purpose of processing has been achieved, cannot be achieved, or is no longer necessary for achieving the purpose;
(2) We stop providing services or the retention period has expired;
(3) You withdraw your authorization and consent;
(4) We process personal information in violation of laws and regulations or agreements with you.
You may withdraw your prior authorization and consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the validity of personal information processing activities already carried out based on your consent before the withdrawal. After withdrawing consent, you may no longer be able to continue using related features that require the corresponding authorization.
You have the right to deregister your PLH account at any time. After deregistration, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, unless otherwise provided by laws and regulations. Deregistration is irreversible; please back up any data you need to retain before proceeding.
You may exercise the above rights through the "Account Settings" feature in the App, or submit requests to us through the contact information provided at the end of this Policy. We will respond within fifteen working days of receiving your request. If we are unable to complete the response within the above period for reasonable reasons, we will explain the situation to you and appropriately extend the response period (no longer than thirty working days in total).
If we refuse your request, we will provide a written explanation of the reasons. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a lawsuit with the competent people's court at the place where the defendant is domiciled.
To enable specific features, the App may embed third-party software development kits (SDKs). We conduct security checks on the SDKs we integrate and require them to process your information in accordance with this Policy and other relevant confidentiality and security measures. The SDKs embedded in the App may include:
The specific information of each SDK (including SDK name, company, types of information collected and purpose of use) will be disclosed to you in the privacy pop-up when the App is first launched, and you can also review it at any time on the "Settings - About Privacy" page of the App.
The App uses local storage technologies (such as SharedPreferences, MMKV, etc.) to cache your login token, preference settings and offline data to improve the user experience. These locally stored data are kept only on your phone and will not be uploaded to the cloud unless you proactively trigger a data synchronization operation.
When you uninstall the App, the data stored locally by the App will be cleared by the system along with the App.
6.1 The App serves professional scenarios of IoT device management and does not target minors as its primary users.
6.2 We do not intentionally collect personal information of minors under the age of eighteen. If you are a parent or other guardian of a minor and you discover that the minor has provided personal information to the App without your consent, please contact us through the contact information at the end of this Policy, and we will take timely measures to delete the relevant information.
6.3 If it is verified that we have indeed collected personal information of minors without guardian consent, we will delete the relevant data as soon as possible.
7.1 We may revise this Policy from time to time. When the terms of the Policy change, we will publish an announcement within the App, and the publicity period will not be less than seven days.
7.2 If the changes involve your material rights and interests (such as expansion of the scope of information collection, changes in the purpose of information use, or changes in rules for providing information abroad), we will separately notify you through pop-up notifications in the App, SMS or email, and will re-obtain your consent when necessary.
7.3 If you continue to use the App services after the revised Policy takes effect, you will be deemed to have agreed to the revised Policy.
